The Tech NGO functioning in the area in Nort East Province is monitoring the activities carried out in the welfare centers of the tsunami affected areas. There are 17 welfare centers functioning in Mullaitivu District. Only 3 hospitals are functioning with limited human and other resources.

There are 17 primary health care centers have been established to attened the urgent need of the people living in these welfare centers.The inhabitants of the welfare centers will have to be there for around a year until the houses are constructed.

There are volunteers including pre intern doctors to work in these promary health care centers. Only 5 centers are equipped. There are shortages of different equipments in other 12 centers.

Above request has come to our club and Tech NGO have requested the following medical equipments.

12 Stethoscopes , 10 Sphygmomanometers , 12 Glucometers with adiquate supply of chemicals, 25 Thermometers , 10 Nebulizers.
