We were the  first….Tsunami struck Sri Lanka around 9.30 a.m. in the morning and our President Dr Chandana Jayaratne  made the 1st announcement through National Television at 2.30 p.m.  at a time when the whole country was watching the seriousness of damage with astonishment and appealed from the  General public to provide cloths, cooked food and medicine for the for tsunami victims. Accordingly we transported 4 lorry loads of commodities to Hambantota on 27.12.2004 the day after the tsunami struck coastal areas.
