World Asthma Day

World asthma is celebrated to create awareness on the disease that can be eminently treated. There are lots of conceptions and myths surround this disease. Many people believe that can asthma can be treated in allopathy and that only alternative medicine can cure it.

Through this world asthma day awareness programme we try to make the people understand that

  1. Asthma is an inflammatory disease
  2. All the terms like eosinophilia, bronchitis, allergy are but synonyms of asthma, These terms are used only because there are reservations in accepting the disgnosis of asthma. This is especially true in asthma.
  3. Asthma is caused by allergens which can be inhaled and ingested.
  4. Pollution is one of the main reason why asthma is on the increase.
  5. Inhalers are the best means of treating asthma. Many people have a disbelief that inhalers are addiction forming and not good health for health and bad for heart. This is one aspect which highlighted.
  6. Among the inhalers steroid inhalers are the best and one has to take these inhalers on a regular basis to keep oneself free from attacks.
  7. Asthma is a disease that can only be controlled and not cured.
