Project title: Narawila Muslim Vidyalaya - Water Sanitation Project

Proposal / Report : Proposed by Rtn. Mahir and preliminary report was presented by Annes Asha, Arthika and Kokila. This was prepared after inspection of the site by the annes accompanied by Rtn. Logeshsri and Mrs Mahir.

Project objectives: The School is without Water supply and basic amenities such as sanitation, library and proper furniture.As proposed by the annes, the initial project is to clean Water Well and install water-supply to School. Also to construct two Toilets for Children and Staff. 

Area location : Narawilla a remote area 65 KM from Colombo

Need for the project : The water and sanitation are urgently needed as otherwise children have to travel long way to fetch water during study time and Sanitation is not available affecting the health of the children

Estimated cost : Rs 154,000

Date of commencement : 24th October 2005 Date of completion: 5th November 2005

Funding available : From Rotary Club from Norway and OTA Newyork

Benefit to community : More than 50 children and the ones still waiting to be admitted will benefit from this project.
