Objective:
These are Slum areas which is inhabited by 500 to 600 families. There was only one toilet block with two small toilets. The men in the area are frequently use open ground due to lack of facilities, polluting the surroundings causing health hazards. Also affecting their privacy. Therefore remedying this lack of toilet facilities is the need of the hour and our Rotary Club with the sponsor ship of The Solution Group (Pvt) Limited is in the process of assisting in this.

Participating Rotarians:
Rotarian PHF Leisha Chandrasena, PHF Mohamed Mahir, Rtn Mohamed Subry will be directly involved in the project. They will monitor the work at the site and ensure smooth progress of the project. The site will be also visited by Secretary PHF PP Raj Jeganathan and Rtn Donald Gaminitillake.

Beneficiaries:
About 500 to 600 families will be benefitted directly.

Estimated cost to develop a block of two toilets will be Rs 76,200/= (US$750)

Three blocks of Toilets to be constructed LKR 228,600 (US$2,250)

Project Commenced November 2007 -- Project Completed December 2007
