Rotarian Gnanaka Jayasinghe was installed as the 32nd President of the club at a colourful event at the Hilton Blue Elephant on the 20th Wednesday 2011. Following a short presentation about the needs of the hospital, to mark this event, a new project was initiated to provide assistance to the Maharagama Cancer hospital by handing over a cheque to purchase blood collection pouches for the hospital.

Rotarian gnanaka in his address thanked everyone who helped through our club, especially Rev Nagatha, suita West and Astley club for their support and remembered those who were affected by the recent tsunami in Japan.

Mrs Himali Gunatillaka was inducted as a new member introduced by Rtn Ratnasoma.

The District Governor Gehan Siribaddana who was the chief guest at the event addressing the gathering made emphasis on the need for commitment to serve those less privileged. He related a story about the "99 coin test" to state that its by giving your-self in service and the search within that will bring happiness. Rotary is about service and together we can make a change.
