Rotary Club of Colombo Central with GÖTEBORG – HOVÅS ROTARY CLUB of District 2360 took the children of prison inmates to the leisure world. This is an extended project of the completed Matching Grant 63504 "Litaracy for Innocent Children in Prison"

IPP Rtn Lars Berg and his wife Marion Berg came to Sri Lanka to host the Future vision project with RC Colombo Central.
This project has provided these children with some basics, particularly of education and play suitable for their ages and for their development. These children have also been taken out of the prison for visits, and given the opportunity to socialise with other children, for short periods of time. They will be able to assimilate back into the wider community more easily for being at ease and accustomed to other children and people outside the prison walls, and they will have had the chance to see good role models, which in turn will encourage them to become good citizens, particularly as they mature towards adulthood.
